My name is Amandine Bensard. Illustration and Art have always been both more than a hobby, but a real personal and profesional goal. I grew up in Paris, where I studied Visual Arts at university. When I moved to Madrid, I decided to dedicate to my real vocation studying Graphic Design at Arte10 school of Art
I have a versatile style even though it uses to be realitic and elaborated, with a special care for details. My work is esencialy traditional : I use to work with acrylics, watercolor and posca, but more times goes on and more I use digital tools as well, such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
My personal work is inspired by fantasy, comics like Winsor McCay’s, Moebiu’s, Sergio Topi’s… The Hayao Miyasaki’s movies, and works of famous illustrators such as Edmond Dulac and Rackham. My illustrations embody dreamy worlds where the characters travel into space, the animals wears their own house, and the cities defy gravity.
I have worked for advertising agencies, magazines, little companies and for individuals… painting portraits, making posters and promotional illustrations. I am currently finding my own place in the profesional world as a freelance illustrator . My actual goal is to grow up as an artist, to participate in new projects and to learn from it.
